Did people in the 50s suffer from diabetes? A historical perspective
In the late 1950s, a U.S. National Health Survey estimated the prevalence of diabetes at around 9 cases per 1,000 people, starkly lower than today's rates, yet yes, people in the 50s did suffer from diabetes.
